I have built the blue box from Tonepad and added the switch for another octave lower, so you can switch between 1 and 2 octaves lower.

Is it possible to place a BLEND potentiometer instead of a switch, so I can blend between the 1 octave and the 2 octaves lower?  When that BLEND potmeter is half way open you can hear the octave lower but also the 2 octaves lower?

Yup.  You could do it exactly like how the stock blend control does.

Technically, yes, but I do not think it would be as easy as a basic blend pot.  This is because whatever signal finds its way from the first flip-flop to the second has to be above a certain threshold in order to trigger the second flip-flop.  Consequently, a simple passive circuitmight undermine that ability.

Ideally, then, you'd want to take a buffered output from the divide-by-2 output and the divide-by-4 output and blend THAT.  But that's not something you can do easily or readily with the Tonepad board.  Perfboard, yes, but not the Tonepad board.

I tried the blend pot when I built one a while back and it didn't work very well. It wasn't a smooth blend between the octaves, but rather abrupt like a switch.
