I have a n00bish question... Im trying to buy the parts to maker an analoig delay but the instructions call for 47uF's but no "uF" its a weird backwards u... like in utorrent .. lol. OK so basically is there a difference between uF and mf?? I cant seem to find any of the capacitors i need
please help!  ???

The "u" in uF is the abbreviation for microfarads. Some companies that sell capacitors list it as mf (microfarads). There is no difference though.
If you ain't gots da blues in yo shoes, then you got a hole in ya soul.

μF should be the only abbreviation for micro Farad ... Use of the letter 'm' to denote 'micro' is technically wrong, (m = milli), and is used primarily by people that can't find the character map on their computer.  :icon_rolleyes:

Hey Thanks guys! I  love this forum btw... Has anyone ordered parts from small bear electronics? I don't think hey have all the parts i need

Yeah, Smallbear lists uF caps as mF. You'll almost never find caps rated in millifarads; after all, one millifarad = 1000 uF which is an insanely high value (as far as stompboxes, or even amps, go).

I found this link to be very helpful in converting between pf/nf/uf

When go to buy caps, find what your schematic calls for and find out all the ways it could be labeled.
