I've been without money for a while, so I've just been coming up with projects, and now I've come to one where it would good to have the ability to switch between 4 external pots and 4 internal resistances.

The pots that are being switched are wired as resistance to ground, so it is essentially only two legs that need to be switched. In my case, I would need to create a DP8T switch, but I figured this could be used for anyone who needs a stomp bigger then DP4T.

The only IC switching I am vaugly familiar with is the ToneGods wicked switching and the cd4053 article on geofex. So I guess the easiest way I could thing of is to use one switch (momentary or latching, whatever it calls for) and piggybacking multiple switching circuits onto the one switch.

Any problems foreseen with this? Anybody have an better ideas? Thanks!

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Hmm, but can they back put in parallel to have one be off and the other be on, operated from one switch? I looked them up at mouser and all they have are obselete ones, so I'll have a look at digikey anyway. Anything else?
