hey guys

i recently bought a Vox AC15H1TV and i am looking to mod it back to what is was supposed to be.

i am looking for a readable copy of the 'Vox' AC34 schematic- there is an unreadable copy here
http://www.blueguitar.org/new/schem/vox/ac34colr.jpg

there is a redrawn copy of the normal channel here- but i'd really like a readable copy of the original
http://www.blueguitar.org/new/schem/vox/ac34ef86.pdf

and am keen to get the EF86 channel back to original AC30/4 EF86 preamp channel specs- at the moment the EF86 channel sounds like its got a big blanket on it.. lol

i am pretty sure its because a lot of .1uf caps in the EF86 circuit should really be .01uf- not sure why vox(korg) managed to screw it up, but they did..

so if anyones got a secret web location with a readable copy of the orignal 'Vox' AC34 schem they could share I would really appreciate it ;)

cheers, ulysses.

not yet

but im pretty funny about having the components set to what they are supposed to be ;)

was thinking about an rft ef86 to fix the noise that the amp puts out, even when no cables are plugged into it-

cheers, ulysses.

Try the AC15 schem?

I also have the http://www.thevoxac30guide.com/ with a full version.

There's also a nice downloadable EF86 component value table at http://www.18watt.com with the right values for Ac15/30.

PM me if I need to look up the values for you later.

hey geertjacobs

thanks for that reply.

is there a redrawn copy of the 30/4 in there? i'd love to get my hands on it-

ive been scouring the net in the last couple of days and i have found so many different versions i don't know what to believe-

i had a look at the ef86 chart on 18watt but the tone block is missing-

cheers, ulysses.
