I have been given a large quantity if components and there are about 20 trimpots but I dont know thier values. I have spent the last 3 hours trawling the internet and here trying to find out how to identify them but still no clue, im sure one of you guys will be able to tell me right away. they all have RS on them and then a number 103 40 or 502 43 or 101 43 and a couple of others in the same format.

I know im suppossed to find things out for myself but i have tried.

theehman

103 = 10K
502 = 5K
101 = 100

Last number is number of zeros to add to the first 2 numbers.  They use the same scheme on capacitors.

To double check you can use a meter, set it to resistance and wind it all the way up.
