Possible?

Does this seem to be possible?  I really want to make a pedal that, in conjunction with knobs, has expression pedals that control the feedback, mix, etc.  In fact, if it was in lieu of a pot that would be fine too.  It would just be a bonus if I could make it have both.

Could I do this with a PT2399 chip? Or even a bucket brigade schematic?
Thanks!

Totally possible, just use switched jacks for the expression pedals that then go to the knobs.  Just make sure the expression pedal has the right pot values in it.

What's the best way to get your hands on expression pedals?  Can you make them or are you better off finding old stuff off CL and ebay?

Taylor

I've found Roland EV-5 clones on ebay for like $10. The trick, as Ripthorn mentions, is that the pot values are often wrong. Most exp. pedals have either 100k or 200k pots, which often won't work perfectly. The Echo Base's time knob, for example, is 50k, and using a 100k would get you down into the bit-crushed long delays, but also makes it more unstable and likely to stop working occasionally. In other cases, all the useful range of the pot will be in a narrow band at one end of the sweep. You will need to hit up RG's "The secret life of pots" to tailor the pot to your application.

Well lets use specifics--lets say I want to incorporate this into an echobase delay.

The schematic calls for:

1M linear -- Modulation Speed
100K log -- Mod Depth
100K log -- Feedback
47K linear -- Time
100K log -- Level

So.. Really all I would want it on would be Feedback and Level... How would I make this work?
