How do these things sound?  ANy recommendations regarding sound quality on building stereo power amp? Maybe about 100w max per channel.  I do intend to you a switching power supply. I have used 15W Class D amps and I think they sound ok. But they seem to get a bad rap.

Badside

The LM serie by National is better liked by discerning music enthusiasts.
The most power you can get with an LM3886 is 68W, but you can parallel and/or bridge them for more power. National even show you how to do it in their application notes.

And switching power supply can be very noisy. Most people simply with a simple RC filter for the power supply, some go regulated (the high current demand makes it a bit more complicated, they don't exactly make 10A voltage regulators)
