Mods for MIJ CS-2?

First off is it treason to mod one of these? arent they collectors pedals? Anyway Theyre beat to hell so they might as well sound cool if they look so crappy

I did the powersupply mod and that went well enough. anyone else have some other ideas?
would germanium diodes on D4 and D3 give it more squish?

Those are an improved version of the dynacomp/ross compressor circuit (similar circuit with a better OTA for the variable gain element), many of the mods for those pedals would apply.  If I had one of those I'd be tempted to try this dry blend knob to fake different compression ratios and get a less weird (slow) attack and less obvious compression.  Maybe stick the circuit in the battery compartment.
