hi, i got a 535q (18v) wha and from some time its got a sort of clipping noise when "waving" the pedal. I really dont know what to look for here; i tested with 18v and 9v power supply, batteries, live it alone in the chain, dim my guitar volume but it keeps doing the noise.

i´m not sure if i can say its "clipping". Is like a "tic" noise that you can hear when waving the pedal (specially in the "toe down" movement). Its not a permanent sound, it just appears when waving...i mean if i live the pedal on any position, the sound is not heard.

Any help, or tips on what to look it will be much appreciated.

thanks

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

thanks RG....but i really dont understand...can you please explain me?

thanks

the pot moves and inner parts move inside. In some place inside over the CARBON (inside of the POT) there's a place where the CONTACT doesn't happen... so it sounds "TIC" when you reach it.

better?

yes thanks a lot...so i need a new pot?......you happen to know what pot it is?

thanks

richon

Wah pots have a special curve different than the usual LINEAL or LOGARITMIC (AUDIO) curves

Dunlop sells replacement pots 100K

first you can try to open it and clean it with some paper (not WD-40 type liquids)
