Hey people!
I've been doing the General Guitar Gadgets Fuzz Face late 60's fuzz and it's being a pain.

If there is ANY help you can throw my way on this, I'd appreciate it greatly.
Basically, the signal pass through true bypass no prob.
There is some signal passing through when engaged, but it is very low volume. You can hear the bias, trimpots, and contour either crackling as you turn them, or the sound changing, but no fuzz and very little signal. So some signal is being passed through but no fuzz.

What do I do? I've check all the wiring, the trace, and all the caps are oriented correctly. What am I missing?

The GGG Fuzztone and Fulltone 69 are different pedals. Just ask them.

Go read "Debugging Thread: What to do when it doesn't work". That's why it's on a sticky at the top of the page every time we come here.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Ok, I'll repost once I've done all that. I was hoping that someone knew off the bat

An acquaintance completed one of those & experienced a similar problem. As aforementioned, the DEBUGGING page is a good reference.

Check for a cold solder joint. Funny how sometimes 'continuity' will be indicated with a DMM but the circuit isn't completed. What turned out in this case was that one transistor socket wasn't providing good contact. It was discovered by jiggling the Q1 transistor...intermittant.
