not much low end on the tweako?

I finally got my tweako working. I had to go through it with an audio prob and I traced the problem to a couple of cold solder joints. The gain sounds great and everything seems to be working really well with one exception, when I turn it one I loose a lot of my low end and some of my mid tone. I've never heard another tweako before so is there any one who has worked with this pedal who can tell me if that's how it's supposed to sound or does it sound like I still have something off? Other than the lack of bass it sounds great.
