Is there such thing?  I know there are different types.  Do some have better noise characteristics when used as a Biasing Trim in FET/BJT Gain Stages?

How is a CERMET type different from the usual suspects?

From my understanding they can handle DC on their tracks where as a normal pot can't. That's why in amps you use a cermet pot for biasing, since the pot controls a negative DC voltage.

Higher power (wattage) pots will reduce noise. Not sure if trimpots come in a variety of power handlings though, I have only seen 0.25W-0.5W.
