Just a quick observation: JKowalski's circuit is not only cool, but can be seen as a striking illustration of how negative feedback miraculously swamps unwanted distortion.  The invention of negative feedback by Harold Stephen Black seemed so miraculous in fact, that the Patent Office refused to grant him a patent for years because they thought it was in the same league as a perpetual motion machine!  Anyway, here's a pretty good, in-depth article on negative feedback:
