Can I make my 25k pot more like 5k in the AMZ Mosfet booster

I am building the AMZing Mosfet boost seen here http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/French+connection/Vero+Layout/AMZMosfetBoost.jpg.html

I do not have any 5k pots around. I eventually will get some.

For now is there anyway I can add a resistor to this pot to make it act like the 5k that the layout calls for?

Might there be any benefit to using a 10k instead of the 5k ( for the record I do not have any 10k's laying around either)

Would a 10K have any noticable effect on the sound?

Thanks

Connect a pot (doesn't matter really which value. 25K would be good though) across the
outer lugs of your 25K pot. Wire the second pot as a variable resistor (only the wiper and one outer lug.
Adjust the second pot until you get 5K measuring across the outer lugs. Tada... The taper of the 25K pot
will be reverse log now but you will have a 5K pot. You can tweak the second pot to get different resistances
to see what that does for you.

Thanks John. I am putting this is the "Tonka Toy Yellow" box I got from you.

Another question Might I be able to put a toggle somewhere in this circut to change the frequencies that are boosted?   Like a make it a treble booster?
