something tells me a college student would make more money delivering pizzas than building fx for money.
Yeah but Im a guitarist not a drummer

i heard a comedic drum roll in my head when you said that. nice!

if you're idea is to build for money and fun, then go for it! buy a tiny amount of stock and do it really small scale. if you're still having fun after selling maybe 7 then you'll know to keep going. if not then hopefully the DIY pedal habit will stay with you and the stock you acquired will not go to waste, and as mentioned you've gained 7 pedals worth of experience.
Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

I've recently come around to the view that unless specifically stated otherwise **everyone** posting or lurking here is going to build pedals to sell. I'm guessing that the percentage is huge.
*hmm...I don't know about that.* I suspect the majority here are avid DIYers either seeking alternatives to prosaic GC offerings and/or the expense of high-end boutique pedals along with those attempting to perfect certain effects. Speaking for myself, I'd prefer to be practicing or playing guitar rather than trying to market another Fuzz Face or Tubescreamer.

Since most of the 'legendary' effects either being cloned and/or modded were made famous by legendary guitarists over 30-40 years ago, perhaps it is time to move forward by evaluating more contemporary pop music, its artists, & investigating any desirable tonal modifications that may offer some promise. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why various fxs such as Rangemasters, Fuzz Faces & Tubescreamers remain the core of the project oriented. From about 1985 on (in terms of new artists coming onboard), there really isn't anyone whose tone one would want to strive for, let alone copy...with a few exceptions of course (i.e Derek Trucks, John Mayer et al) & even they are somewhat traditionalist in style.

now that's what I'm talking about.

this is probably an indication that we should move this thread to the lounge.
