Bully for the Boomerang!

I just finished up a Boomerang (Noomerang, actually) for a friend using the information from gaussmarkov's site.  I gotta say, this is one nice wah! Really digging the smooth tasteful tone.  Definitely a bit of a diversion from the standard Vox and CryBaby fare.  Sad that I'm going to have to part with it...
I used an old crybaby shell, PCB etched by the infamous John Lyons, a scavenged red fasel, 2n5089 transistors, and mounted the Q pot on the side of the pedal using a 50k linear pot.  Don't know if it's the circuit itself, or something that I did wrong, but the Q control seems really subtle.  I was wondering, if anyone else has built this and noticed anything similar.

Yes, I noticed that the Q control doesn't have a very pronounced effect.  The topology of the Boomerang may be a cause.

Glad to hear someone else likes that one.

Thanks for the reply.  Gotta say, I've taken so much inspiration from your work.  As far as the Boomerang is concerned, I think the naughty bartendress at the one of the clubs I do sound at says it best; "chicken chicken, brown cow".

The Maestro Boomerang is still my favorite wah pedal.  :icon_cool:
