Hi,

can you help me with the layout of my microamp? i want to add a loop. and i dont know how.
the idea of adding a loop is avoid the tap dancing on the solo (activate, microamp, eq, delay and wah wah)

you can help me with this draw.

thanks

Do you want to put an effects loop in the same box as the micro amp? Maybe have a look here. Just hardwire the output of one to the input of the other depending on what order you want to to put them in.http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/PedalHacker/index.htm

What sort of eq do you have? Will it provide the boost you need? (I'm thinking of a GE-7 or Dano Fish'n'Chips, either of which make a fine boost with or without eq.) If so, why add the microamp? I'm of the belief that you're always better off using the least circuitry possible to get the desired result. In that case, all you need is a switched passive loop. See the beavis audio link.

If you do need the microamp for boost, then, as connie said, the question is where. I'm guessing you want it at the end of the loop, or at least after the delay. You might consider using a dual opamp, and setting half up as an input buffer.

my pedalboard is like this

amp < microamp < dr boogie < wah < guitar

i want this when i activate the microamp

         [delay < eQ]
                 ^
amp < microamp < dr boogie < wah < guitar

the idea is avoid the tap dancing.

Build the passive looper from the link i posted and put it after the dr.boogie and put the micro amp eq and delay in the loop and leave them on or use your eq for the boost like ben suggested.

To do what you are asking initially, all you have to do is build the microamp as-is in your diagram, and interrupt the signal between your switch and either the input of the effect, or the output, and insert a set of jacks there.  Now you have a decision to make:  Do you want the boost before the other effects (to drive them harder and break up a bit) or do you want the boost after the other effects (to just make them louder).  For solos, probably after.  If that's the case you want your send and return between the switch and the effect input.

Input-->switch-->send jack  return jack-->microamp input  microamp output-->back to switch-->out.

If you decide to do this I'd recommend using a shorting jack for either the send or return to jumper them together if nothing is plugged into the loop, other wise you'd have to put a patch cable in there to use the micro amp on it's own.

And you'll need pull down resistors across the send and return jacks too (tip to sleeve), otherwise you'll probably get popping from any non-true bypass (like boss) pedals in the loop.

connie: i already thinked on that looper, is a very good idea, but i want to add a loop in my microamp to save some space in the pedalboard.

Mikeh: can you explain me about pull down resistors across the send and return, because microamp and delay are true bypass, but the eq is behringer not true bypass.
