Hey all;

I put the finishing touches on my swtiching pedalboard this morning. I've posted photos on the pictures forum. Thanks to all who helped answer questions and give advice.

Hi Tempus,
                I seem to remember another thread where you were involved in a discussion on "clickless" switching, what switching system did you end up with for your pedalboard? Looking good by the way :icon_biggrin:

Thanks.

I ended up using 3 JFETs arranged like this:

This gave me almost clickless switching - there is a small thump when the effect gets switched in and out, but I have a noise gate at the end of my chain and it gates the thump out when it's on. I'm perfectly happy with it, but I wish I could figure out why it doesn't switch with total silence like the pedals themselves do when I stomp them on or off. This is basically the same setup that Boss and others use on their pedals. Maybe it's because I'm switching the ins and outs of an entire pedal?
I also have it set up to switch amp channels and do the amp's volume boost function, and these both make noise when they switch also, but not too much (definitely not as much as in my previous system). I suspect that this has more to do with the amp itself, or in the case of the volume boost, the sudden change in volume, than with the switching design.

Thanks for that info, even more food for thought in the switching dept. I still don't know which way to go on this issue :icon_neutral:
