So, nowadays you can easily obtain 9mm Alpha pots from the regular stores.
What are your opinions? As good as the normal (16/24mm) Alpha pots?

I see at Banzai that they carry two different kinds. One is priced 1.89 and the other is 2.57. What's the exact difference?

The more expensive one has a metal shaft while the other has a plastic one.

metal shaft ones seem very good! they have a smooth feel and what I can tell you is that the one I have didn't break yet ;)

We use the plastic 9mm Alpha pots at PAiA. I've used them for at least two years without any issues. I love them for breadboarding as well, you can easily break off the metal stand-offs and shove the three lugs in a breadboard.
