AFxxx transistors

A while ago, I bought a bunch of transistors from a guy.
A lot of them are AF Germanium transistors. If I understand correctly, these are "high frequency" transistors.
Does this mean, they are only usefull for circuits above audio frequency? Of can they still be used for audio circuits? (fuzzes or so?)

I have some AF125 ones, they are very low leakage BUT very low gains, Hfe around 30-40 . Haven´t tested them in a Fuzz Face yet, so I don´t know how they sound... They should work in audio frequencies.
