Just built this yesterday and it became my favorite distortion/OD on the board! Stuck a Sekova (LPB withh smaller caps + more bass) in front of it for a footswitchable fat boost really useful on the Bright setting. The versatility of this thing amazes me! I have always been a bit cynical about those "marshal stack-in-a-box"  claims, but this gets as close to making that claim a reality as anything I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds like a solid state distortion, but it uses that to its advantage, if that makes any sense. Only complaint i that it doesn't have that touch responsiveness, but it reacts well to the guitars volume control, so it all works out in that regard. Great circuit, Thanks to the guys at ROG, and you owe it to yourself to try this out if you haven't.

Thanks for the build report on this.  I have been thinking of building this since it replaced the Thundchief I believe.  I just completed the BSIAB2, the Dr. Boogey and the EH Baseballs.  None have enclosures yet.  Right now I have the chopped OC-2 bread boarded ready to be soldered together.  So after that I might be able to get parts up for it.  My wife wants me to finish boxing them up before starting a new project.  But a mans got to do what a mans got to do.  Right?

I made a Thor with a BsiabII in the same box as an orange squeezer this summer. I made them all switchable, like A/B on the two dist. and pre/post on the OS, last week I made a Dr Boogey, if I line them all up I think I can probably blow my head off.

But a mans got to do what a mans got to do.  Right?

You need more GAIN Randall, you know it makes sense.
