Can a 3094 be susbstituted for the 3080 in a DynaComp?

Not a drop in substitute, but can be used with pin 1 as the output. You would need to somehow change the pcb to achieve this.

Thanks that's what I thought, but wasn't sure. Shouldn't be a difficult modification.
