Heaven's no.  Not at all sir.

We are all here to exchange information and help each other at what we do.

I loved what Brian's mod did for my DS-1 which is a different animal.  You, on the other hand, had a less than positive experience on the MZ mod.  You have enhanced my knowledge base..... so not at all!

HI,
I'd like to see a copy of the Keeley mods too if possible.  I bought Brian's mt-2 mod and I have enjoyed it but I happened to pick up a second mt-2 and I would like to maybe give the keeley mod a try on it.

If anyone could email them to me that would be great.  ripper_mb@yahoo.ca

Thanks again

One of the mods I recently did on my DIY MT-2 /no output buffer, true bypass switching/ is to change the clipping diodes to the Marshall's 5-diode clipping section /as found in JCM900 and JMP1/. To trim the harsh top end you can add a 47nF /not pF!/ cap in parallel with diodes.

My MT-2 setting:

Gain:     3-4 o'clock
Mid:          7 o'clock /completely cut/
Freq:    9-10 o'clock
High:     3-4  o'clock
Bass:    3-4  o'clock

I found my MT-2 to sound best when connected to the FX loop of a tube amp.

Enjoy!

Quote from: RjMIn my opinion, indyguitarist's mod has more of an audible difference. It makes the mids EXCELLENT sounding, adding a nice crunch. Very 'brown sound.' Keeley's mod just makes it more transparent, much quieter, trims some highs, and note seperation is highly improved. My mod is also freakin' awesome too! I think I'll have some pics of my mod soon too for anyone interested. The topic which describes my mod is here... http://diystompboxes.com/sboxforum/viewtopic.php?p=195876#195876

Thanks! :)

Quote from: smoguzbenjaminGuys I don't think we have to worry about spammers here, do we? Or is some bastard having a spider crawl over all kinds of forums? :?

Actually, there are software 'harvesters' all over the place. Anytime you have your email address on your site you will get harvested and your address will get sold to marketers (using the term loosely) who then use a service to send out several million email addresses. Also, some harvesting software will pick through the html and harvest addresses that way as well.
