Fit under a Pedaltrain board? I'm thinking about building an uber powersupply that will go under my PT-2 to power a bunch of different powerneeds - 18Vac, 9,12,15,18,24v dc, all at various MA needs, isolated, some with the 'sag' feature. I'm tired of wishing I could combine the features of all the various powersupplies - why not design and build one that fits all the needs!?!?!

So, does anyone have a 1411-TU that they can throw under the PT-2 and see how it fits? By the measurements here it should work: http://www.hammondmfg.com/pdf/1411T.pdf

However, I'm not sure it's big enough to get the job done and fit all the powersupply into. So would the 1411-WU work better? http://www.hammondmfg.com/pdf/1411W.pdf

I'll be blocking the powersupply out soon, will post an image when I get a clear picture of what the powersupply will look like. Then I'll start looking at designing the circuits (more like asking advice on how to do that) then seeing what it would take/cost. Perhaps it might be totally not worth it.

If you haven't taken a class or worked with line voltage before you might want to wait on a project like this, as the stakes are higher than with pedals, if something's wrong in the AC wiring or the fuse isn't calculated right someone could get hurt from it or it could burn the house down.

That being said, and if you're confident with mains wiring, and calculating current consumption/wattages, source your transformers first, only then would you know how big a box you'll need.  The other parts aren't nearly as big, and can be moved around however is convenient on a circuit board.

Two of the weber multi winding transformers at small bear could make an epic pedal power supply.
