Microphonic components problem....

Okay,

I've got this pedal out there - mind you - I've built a bunch of the same pedal with no issues.

This one has microphonic issues ie: the switch pops (more like a "bell ring") when engaged. And when "on" if you slightly move the switch you can hear the "spring" inside the switch moving.

I've already replaced the switch once - now it's coming back for it's third switch. Should I be looking elsewhere ?

Again - this same build for several other people has had no issues - and it wasn't making noise when it came back for the first replacement switch.

Thanks, Dan

tap around on components with a plastic pen (anything non conductive).  ceramic caps especially can be microphonic.

Yeah - I thought of that......any ? ceramic caps ?. The only ceramic in this build is a 100pF multiceramic (teeny tiny little thing)...

Thanks !

+1 for the tapping. I do that a lot with chopsticks when I am troubleshooting issues like this with amps.

I might also try a new brand of switch.
