I have a friend needing work on a Traynor 4-channel footswitch for the YCS-100. The switches seem to be shot. Is there an easy way to tell if the switches (which appear to be DPDT) are momentary or latch?

Thanks!

picture could help. but the easiest way to tell is to push them and see if they pop. what type of connection is used to connect to the amp?

Yeah, what kind of cable are you using? I remember my YCV40 using a stereo cable, but it only had 2 switches.

They sort of pop, but then again so to the momentary switches I have...Oddly it uses a midi cable...

if it is midi they are more than likely momentary switches. they probably just send a signal to the amp and make the switch digitally.

that's what I was thinking - thanks, I'll try those.
