very faint signal from modded wah-wah. (truebypass, output buffer, gain mod etc.

Hey! I got done modding my crybaby gcb-95, Rev G with the true bypass, output buffer, gain, vocal, mid boost and lower range mods.
However when I plugged it to try it I got a very faint signal from the pedal while in effect mode and ever more faint in bypass mode!
I wasn´t sure how to connect power to the buffercircuit so I connected the + and - to the back of the 8-pin connector and stole power from the two cords running to the battery (thinking red is +). I think it might be something with the output buffer not working right and I removed the input buffer therefore the loss of signal but I´m pretty new to this stuff I would really appreciate the help.
