2 effects, 1 box, 2 switches - 1 on/off and 1 to toggle between effects?

I don't know why, but I'm having trouble with this.

Both effects in the same box, sharing 9v/ground. I'd like 1 switch for bypass, and the other to toggle between the two effects and switch colors on a bi-color led. I'm looking at loop boxes with 2 loops, and thinking just take the tip of the ins and outs and use those as the effect in and outs - Am I going in the right direction? I just want to make sure. I'm sure this has been discussed, but I had no luck with search terms.

Thanks! greg

This is how I'd do it  :icon_mrgreen:

I think you were going at it right in your description, I just like to doodle.

Thanks! Your doodle helps a lot actually. Now I wonder how much popping I'll have when switching from effect 1 to effect 2. thoughts?

There is a file at GGG called "two effects in one box wiring", that works very well; I've used it on a TS and Marshall Guv'nor with minimal switching noise!

IIRC, that is for both effects having their own switch (on/bypass) - I'm looking for a master on/bypass and the 2nd switch to toggle between the two effects. I build 2 in 1's all the time, but never with the later switching. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to run into any issues that keeps it from being a usable pedal with the ability to switch between effect 1 and 2 in a live setting. Often I figure out something to be working in theory, but the phyical application doesn't go as well!  :)
