Hey! I got done modding my crybaby gcb-95, Rev G with the true bypass, output buffer, gain, vocal, mid boost and lower range mods.
However when I plugged it to try it I got a very faint signal from the pedal while in effect mode and ever more faint in bypass mode!
I wasn´t sure how to connect power to the buffercircuit so I connected the + and - to the back of the 8-pin connector and stole power from the two cords running to the battery (thinking red is +). I think it might be something with the output buffer not working right and I removed the input buffer therefore the loss of signal but I´m pretty new to this stuff I would really appreciate the help.

If you didn't do anything incorrectly, maybe it's due to a cold solder joint.

the solderjoints looks okay (no bridges) I´ll have to check it properly tomorrow when I´m not too tierd. However I think I got the buffer circuit running by switching polariteies. But it´s still a very faint signal coming from the guitar but also a strong signal from the effect. Know what that might be if not a bad solder joint?

Cold solder joints can look just like good ones sometimes, it's happened to me before. You could try reflowing all of the changes you did that involved any soldering to see if that clears up the problem. If it's not that, you might need to build an audio probe to figure out where the signal is dying.

Just try the WAH without the output buffer....  then you'll know, for sure, that it isn't the buffer

Well I found the problem just as you said it was due to sloppy work so its working now, but now I ran into a new problem: how do I get the switch (3PDT) to click when pedal is pressed down? it seems to be too short or something I tried to tighten it so it would be higher up but accidently broke it because it was too tightend (waiting for a new one now however).

I just replace the felt pad on the upper to make it easier to push down the footswitch.

That was what I also thought of (after I broke the switch of course >:(). I wasn´t shure if it would be in the way or something while I would use the pedal, but I´ll try that when I get the switch then. Thanks!

Think I screwed up again. Got the new switch and solderd the wires and stuff. True bypass, effect and everything works but the pedal to change the sound of the effect. could it be a cold solder joint going from the pot or something?
