Whahoo!!!! I finished my first Stompbox.
These forums are so awesome, even for a lurker like myself. They gave me a tremendous jolt in trying to get stuff worked  out.
Anyway, I started out trying to make an GGG Orange Squeezer from the kit- but after doing a couple of tweaks on my T-9 while I was waiting, I started tweaking the Orange Squeezer.
I found a really cool tone with the unbiased 10K trim pot, so I took out the trimmer, and wired in a pice of circuit board with two trimmers- one biased and one set to the unbiased setting I liked, then I installed a two way micro toggle to flip between the two pots. (my drill was busted so I cut the casing with an old steel hunting knife- aluminum is really soft!).
Anyway, the unbiased switch gives a slight gain boost plus a touch sensitive fuzz octave, which pretty much only affects the wound strings- The high strings stay clean. Great for funk, cause you get thick growly lows for bass riffs and still clean, compressed notes for rhythm chords.

Anyway, I wouldn't have been able to put anything together without these threads so thanks a ton,
especially Pete who told me to get a DMM (it saved me hours of time and has given me a much deeper understanding of how circuits work)

Congratulations. Most addicting hobby ever. Post some pics and such, would love to see a gut shot with that wiring.

I've been building about 6 months now, and I've built loads of stuff; 3 different Bazz Fuss's, a PWM Fuzz, a Fuzz Factory, an SHO, a Wah Probe, LPB1, Screaming Bird, bla bla bla, and I STILL don't have a DMM, if something doesn't work I'll just stick my fingers in and prod arond and make connections with my fingers to see what's not connected up properly, what makes nasty pops and what doesn't... I really need to get my arse in gear! :D
Behringer don't do signatures, but if they did, they'd probably stop working mid sen

Congratulations!

In the world of musicians, gear has this sort of "legendary" status, such that we think of it as quasi-magical.  When we first become able to cast those same magic spells on our own, it is a VERY powerful feeling.  Right up there with being able to reach stuff on the counter, walk from here to there, read, and shave. :icon_biggrin:

OK Mark, I can do two of them. Some way to go for me :)
