Hi,

Has anyone on here had a luck integrating a boost circuit to the output buffer on a GCB95 Wah? The idea being to give it something like the 16db boost that the 535Q is capable of, dont want masses of boost, and virtually no overdrive/distortion to the signal when at maximum boost.  I'm interested to hear about any circuit or mod you guys have successfully integrated, and its location (input or output buffer, or elsewhere?). So far I've been experimenting with the AMZ mini-booster, but am having mixed results, sounds too gritty, high frequencies are too shrill.

Any help appreciated!

The GCB-95 doesn't have an output buffer. It has an input buffer. You can add an adjustable output buffer and make it switchable to kick on for a boost or you can measure the trimmer for unity gain, put that resistor on one side of a switch. Put a pot or trimmer on the other end of the switch so you have the buffer on all the time and just switch between the unity output and the boosted output. Might get a pop though. Never done it this way.
