Line 6 volume issue

Hello all!
I'm hoping to fix the loss of volume on my Line 6 DL4, & FM4. I have searched the internet, and have found a bunch of guys that can fix the problem, but no DIY info. Any help would be appreciated.

If you haven't de-soldered surfacemount resistors before, you can do it with a regular soldering iron, just go back and forth on each side of it, quickly, until one side stays melted when you're melting the other, and it will lift.  You can kludge a regular 1/4 watt resistor onto the pads.
