Capacitor Polarity on Layout?

I'm very much wanting to build this.  I can read a schematic, as in, I can see the value of parts and know which are res/cap, where is ground.....but I just cannot get my head around relating a schematic to a layout.....and the layout doesn't give the polarity of the electrolytics.

C12, C5, C10 I suspect are easy, as they are all associated directly with the ground wire - so, the bottom of the cap is neg.

C2 - up or down?  my guess is up, due to the current flowing then to R1 and ground

C4 - up or down?  my guess is up, again just following the connections until I find ground

C9 - up or down?  Uhhh, this one really has me baffled.

Thanks in advance :)

You can place a square pad to denote the positive lead for polarized capacitors and diodes, just as you may use them to denote pin 1 on IC chips and pot pads.

Actually, the layout does denote polarity on the electrolytic caps. If you look really carefully, you will see one side has a slightly dark shading to it, which marks the negative side. Plus, as Steve mentioned, the square pads show the positive side.
