Turning clipping on-off

I want to make this Microamp off of this PCB, but I want to add a single toggle switch that adds the clipping diodes from the Distortion +.

Would I have to use a 4PDT to do this?

No.  Only a SPST that makes or breaks the connection between a pair of clipping diodes and ground.

  IF you want to hit that thing on stage you may want to auto-adjust something else like volume, for that a bigger switch [simultaneous make or break] might come in handy.

That's what I was thinking, like swap out a resistor or something.
