Wah Wah Buffer Woes...

I've got a Roger Mayer wah with a Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz and I've been trying for years to successfully run my signal path as Guitar>Wah>Fuzz>Amp.  It just doesn't work...the wah has no effect when running it into the fuzz.

I've also read all the forums and done searches which recommend using a buffer.  I've tried 3 different buffers (Boss pedal, TC Electronic, and DIY FET buffer) both before and after the Wah and it still doesn't work properly and sounds strange when plugged in pre-fuzz.

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be or a possible solution??

From what I've read and seen in pictures nearly everyone runs their Wah before the Fuzz Face, most notably Hendrix.  How did Hendrix manage to use a Vox Wah in that configuration and get a good tone without running a buffer...and if it was modified by Roger Mayer with a buffer why in the #$^% doesn't my Mayer Wah and Fuzz work that way???

I'm open for any solutions including Wah replacement if necessary!

Thanks in advance~!!

You should try building a buffer designed for a wah.

Check under the Vox Clyde Wah project on Fuzz Central:
http://fuzzcentral.tripod.com

It shows a sample output buffer that will help your problem.

this is a good site, maybe it will help.

PS:these effects are not roger mayer effects, this guys pedal company is axis pedals.  they are not to be confused with roger mayer's axis fuzzface.

the site still talks about a buffer though, and there is pictures.
hope this helps man

Looking for ways to add an output buffer to my budda wah, I found this thread. Here's the current link to the axis wah on Fuzz Central: http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/axiswah.php

But... you wont get the orcha effect when plugged in backwards...  :icon_cry:

My experimenting from last year

Nothing crucial. Just a little wah madness you might find interesting  :icon_cool:.

You might try a 10k resistor in series with the output of the wah. It's worked for me in the past.
