I've finally breadboarded my bazz fuss, using a few subsitutions due to maplins not having stuff in stock  >:( but it sounds awesome on bass  8)

however, when i plugged a guitar in, the high notes just wouldn't come through

my dad suggested i swap the caps for smaller values, but i still want my fat tone for bass, so i figured that i should have 2 caps in parallel with a switch, to change the input cap value.

could this go horribly wrong?

thanks,
Charleston.

You could do that or socket the input cap if you are switching often...

first, are you using a darlington or single silicon?
second, BF is very sensible to transistor gain. you need to use a trmmier at the collector to find best bias.
or go to my gallery and see my mods.
