Hello. I've recently built a Univox Micro Phaser per the Gotfired Divos schematic. Everything works, however I get this clicking sound when the effect is switched out....yes switched out. I wired it for true bypass. Why is there clicking bleeding through with clean signal when the effect is off?

Thanks
Anthony

You might want to consider a number of things.
What true bypass scheme have you used?  3pdt or dpdt?  Perhaps your layout is causing the ticking to get in the audio path.
Try a little tenderness.

DPDT. What could cause signal to leak like that?
Do I put er up on a scope and try to find location of clicking?

Hmm.

- Maybe the wiring isn't as true bypass as you think. I've made a few wiring mistakes before.
- The usual suspects: stray capacitance in the wiring jumping the sudden change in the LFO circuit over into your nice, high impedance signal wires; and shared current running through ground wires.

A sure cure is to kill the LFO when the effect is bypassed. Maybe the Millenium C?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Hey R.G. Sounds like a plan. I'll try that today.
