Anyone made one yet? i can't find any videos of it on YouTube or eslwhere...  :(

i'm into making a reverb and i kinda like the Belton chipped reverbs, Mr Springy, Spring Chicken, GGG over the Holy Grail types... i'm interested in the BYOC because it has the dwell and tone control but i've noticed not all Belton reverbs sound the same (and there's also 3 types of chips: Short, Medium and Long Reverb) so i'm curious about hearing the BYOC before ordering one...

I was contemplating this too.

The tone control is just a big muff type with flat mids according to the BYOC folks.

I dont think the control should be called a dwell control.  From what the creator of the Belton brick said, controls such as Dwell are set internally, in the brick itself.  I think the dwell control in this application is probably just feeding a little of the signal back in to the delay.  More like a decay/feedback setting.

I too welcome anyone to comment on the quality of the sound this thing produces.
Try a little tenderness.

Questo è il fiore del partigiano morto per la libertà!

hmmm, thanks for the link, i'm not sure i really like the BYOC rev, there's the omnipresence of repeats that remind me too much of a PT2399 based delay with short time and long feedback, where the Mr Springy sounded more natural like a Fender reverb, i guess the dwell control isn't a real dwell, it does sound like a feedback control... i'm still searching but so far my favorite is the Mr Springy...

i think the whole thing is which brick to use (short, med, long) and how far you push it... my 2 cent impression is that the Spring Chicken uses the short reverb belton and pushes it where the Mr Sprigny uses the long chip and keeps within "nice sounding parameters"...  :icon_neutral:

i built one and I'm not that happy with it YET.

It's got a lot of reverb in it.  Not enough subtle settings stock, so I'm going to try to tweak the Taper on the Reverb Knob.

Also as mentioned the Dwell Knob is actually a Feedback or Regeneration Control, like Delay and Flanger Pedals.

There's some great springy sounds in this, but I think I was hoping to find other sounds as well.  Uber-Spring is not really my thing, especially with a twangy tele.

There are a ton of really useful reverb sounds in this thing.  I found a ton of subtle settings just by turning the dwell down, and gradually turning up the reverb level.

Try a little tenderness.
