This is my first post. I did search to see if this was answered anywhere else but couldn't find anything.

I'm building a tap tempo pedal for a DD-20, and I really like the soft touch switch that Small Bear sells http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=672 but for my pedal i need normally closed instead of normally open.
Right now I am using a regular DPDT momentary switch but I am usually playing in environments where the "click" would be very distracting.
Does anybody no where i can get a switch like the one on Small Bear but normally closed? I'm sure Mouser sells one but i don't know enough to tell if the ones I'm looking at will do what i want.
If anybody has any experience with this sort of thing and can point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.
Thanks for your help

yeah, i looked at that but i think it still has a mechanical click when pressed, I really need something totally silent (or at least with no click when pressed).
thanks for the reply though :)

i think this would give you almost silent switching, but there is the mechanical part, maybe some daughterboard with the swich mounted under the actuator...

The switch is SPDT, so you can use the normally closed option.

Or, if powering the tap footswitch isn't a problem, you could try to invert the output using common optocoupler. A sketch of the idea:

I was hoping i could get something just like the small bear switch only closed, but both of free electrons suggestions are good.
I'm not really interested in powering the switch, but the first option looks interesting. The only obstacle is finding a way to mount the bottom part so it sits correctly, right?
What are those two piece switches called?

I used this switch from my RC-2 stop switch. Its pricey but has a nice soft feel and is stomp-able:

I haven't tired this switch so I don't know how soft it is and it takes up more room but it is easy cheaper:
