I have a Samsung ML2010 and I buy a generic toner that is less than $30. I've been using it since '04 and it works pretty well.

+1 on that model.
I tried a refil toner that DID NOT work at all.
Probably a fluke.
But I use photopaper...

Yeah. It's a pretty simple machine. One of my replacement toners wasn't working well at all. The company replaced it and now it's perfect.

I use magazine pages or press n peel run through a GBC laminator which gives pretty consistent results.

I know that the HP laserjet 9040dn that I use at work does a great job, but those things cost like 3 grand...

From the "press n peel" website

"Note: We are getting reports that PnP is not working well
with later model Brother brand copiers and laser printers
We will keep you informed of any discoveries"

I have a Brother laser printer, it is not good for press n peel.
