Percentage value for potentiometers?

I am working on a schematic where the Potentiometers are labelled: 1M 99%, 5K 1%, 10K 1%, & 10K 40%.

Does anyone know what this means? There are no designations for Linear, Audio, or Reverse tapers. Could this be a reference to the different tapers?

Thanks for any help!

Sorta looks to me like the schem may have come from a simulator program. Therefore, the pots could be 'set' at those percentages of rotation they were at when the person captured the image.   If no designations for taper, I'd just assume linear.   My 2 cents, anyway...

Here's the schematic - I built it on my breadboard and it sounded amazing. I'm working on building the perfboard now. The only real issue was the gain. I used a 1M Linear pot and I didn't get a nice sweeping increase in gain. Just full gain when turned all the way up. Any ideas?
