I've been meaning to build a WB for a couple of YEARS now, but have used the parts for other projects instead.
As of late I have been missing my Civil War muff (although I DID sell it for a fat sack of cash) and I think this will fit the bill!
Already built the circuit from the old Torchy layout.  It's been a while!

Anyone used one of these on their FX board for a while now?  Opinions?  Mods?
I have the diode socketed because I have always liked both the LED and 1N diodes in a Bazz Fuss for different applications...

I built one about 2 years ago, and have never felt the need to mod it. I found it to be so versatile that mods were unnecessary

It is a versitile fuzz. It is a little tighter/hasher than my Big Muff clone. It can go from low to high pitched distortion, which is lots of fun to play with. I built mine in a box with a Professor Tweed (from ROG as well) to tame its edge... It definately puts out some attitude!

I say breadboard it, run it through your set up and hear if you like it. Like all fuzzes, a couple of input cap changes or tweaking the tone stack can make big changes to the personality. I wish I would have done that with it when I built it. :icon_wink:

Thanks guys:
I socketed the caps in the tone stack and put a 100KA pot in the front to tame it a bit.
Gotta box it up!
