Its a little 2 knob drive circuit i designed around an year ago.

a 4k7 resistor can be added in series with the gain pot to have a fixed min gain setting.

sound samples (that i recorded when i first built it... used my Zoom 505II between the mic and PC Input for ambience only, something i no longer do) :

http://www.4shared.com/file/253477734/1e72bb8f/NPN_Drive_Slide_Session.html - in this one, i used a slide made out of a plastic tube, that i got from a visit to Coca Cola's factory in my city. its like a test tube made of plastic, that is where the plastic bottles are made of.
Since a friend gave me theirs, i used one of them to make the slide.

http://www.4shared.com/file/253477740/565ee951/NPN_Driver.html - i used my Condor GX-10 amp for both clips with the tone controls in flat. in this second clip i work a little on them, to show the different sounds you can get by just tweaking your amp's tone stack.

and if you want, try putting a MOSFET in place of the NPN... works aswell!!!
sample with a MOSFET in place of the NPN, that i also made by that time:

i know, i'm not a good guitar player, but keep your attention to the sound, not the guitarrist skills :)

Looks good to me.
Simple and relatively versatile.

Are you getting less output with the MOSFET in there? I noticed the clip was quieter, but that could just be due to recording levels.  Sounds good with the MOSFET though.
