Does anyone know of a way to re-attach transformer leads to the coil?
I've managed to overheat one of the leads on my xicon shielded/potted isolation transformer.

Uhf, that sucks... I always thought that that basically meant the transformer was ruined.  I mean, to fix that you have to get inside the tranny and most aren't meant to be disassembled.  And if you manage to get in there they're usually all sealed up and coated with like, varnish or some other damn nasty substance.  I don't know, maybe someone else can bring you some good news.

Super fragile wire in not fragile stuff you need to get out of the way to make a connection.
  Sometimes...
Finding the teeny coil wire, stripping the fragile wire, connecting a strain relieved wire to the to the prepared coil wire...restores the coil.
...sometimes...other times the not so fragile at all stuff that was put in as a liquid to solidify the fragile coil integrity is like trying to remove a poured cement floor..intact.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if I could melt the potting and see if I could get at the wires. Going to live chat with mouser to see what the potting is composed of. Cheers.
