Output resistor for A/B box?

I just built an A/B switcher for a mate and I'm wondering if I should put resistors over the outputs to prevent popping?
Trying it out here on my gear, there's no pop but I'm wondering if this can depend on the amp being used?

If so, should I go for a fairly small value, say 150k, so as not to affect the signal too much?
Tried a search on this but couldn't quite get what I was after.
Sorry if its been done to death before.

Not sure what you mean by "resistors over the outputs"...Do you mean a pulldown resistor from output to ground?  If this is a passive A/B box, there should be no capacitors in the signal path, and therefore no stored charge to require bleeding off.

If an amplifier is bleeding some voltage 'out' into pedals, the trouble would be with the amp, not the pedal.

So the answer is basically no, unless you have some problem with the box, I wouldn't add any resistors.  At best, you'd attenuate your signal and add noise.
Not a bad question, though!

Thanks Gibson, appreciate the info!
Yeah it's a passive box.
I guess I meant pulldown resistors from tip to ground.
I've seen them in A/B boxes like the ones Musikding sell as kits like this one:

I think they have a 1M across the jacks, so was just wondering why.
