here's the circuit im trying to clone. the LED part of my circuit is working fine. Below is my work..

can someone tell me what's the issue here? All i'm getting is the clean guitar signal, with a little extra ground buzz.. I initially used a 10k resistor, and replaced it with a 47k.

here's the photocell i'm using. 25k/500k.

heres my image again in case it wouldn't load earlier. thanks

just noticed. when light is directed to the photo resistor, i can hear the hum and buzz getting chopped up, but the clean signal remains the same. help?

It looks to me like the photocell is connected between the tips of the in and out jacks and the resistor is across the tip and ring of one of the jacks.  Maybe this is the way it's supposed to be, but the schematic below shows the photocell connected between the output tip and ground (ignoring the pot) and the resistor connected between the tips. It looks like you might need to swap the positions of the photocell and the resistor.

take a peek at the tiny tremolooooo circuit, this is what i think your trying to do..

sorry no schematic, but you get the idea!.

fixed it! really sounds excellent for what it is.

i am experiencing some slight tapping/clicking on each chopped silence however.

this, as well a perceptible volume drop which may just be a minor caveat of passive pedals.

i ended up using a 10k as the original diagram suggested. i think i saw a fix for the tapping in that thread -- ill have to sit down and give it a read. till then keep trying variables and see what will net me the least volume drop/fastest response..

thank you!

Glad you got it going. Was it the resistor value or did you do something else?
