Uglyface oscillates too much for my taste

Hello,

I've just reloaded from my recycle bin an old Uglyface, because last week I got a CMOS 555 (it was built with a regular 555 and it sounded like crap).
Now it sounds great (thank you Tim Escobedo!), but it oscillates too much when I tweak the Thresold pot (over 60-70%).
As I am not a fan of oscillations, what can I do to minimize them?
I don't want to eliminate completly, but I want to have a more useable Thresold pot.

Thank you very much!

You could change the pot value to reflect the range of control that you want.  Either use tapering resistors to get there, and/or a new pot.  Measure the resistance when you're in the "sweet spot", then expand the range of control of it.
The Uglyface really IS an oscillator, IIRC, but I hear ya, more control of the sweet spot might be a good way for you to use it.

Thx GibsonGM!
I've just found some mods made by Mick Bailey (thx Mick for them) which said to replace the 22K with a 56K...so the same thing as you said above :)
