Planing to build the Eazy Vibe

I recently discovered the Eazy Vibe, which i find to be a stripped down version of the almighty Univibe. After listening to some sound samples at: http://www.mrdwab.com/john/soundclipspage.html , i fell in love!

So my question is, do those of you who have built this some advice on which layout/project to work from? I discovered John Hollis' project first: http://www.hollis.co.uk/john/circuits.html . Then i looked up the Geofex project file: http://www.geofex.com/PCB_layouts/Layouts/easyvibe.pdf.

So, any advice on which to use. Other tips on the project itself are welcome too!

I went right from the original Hollis pencil drawings onto perf board...works great! But you have to be very careful of how you go about the build....it's a little complicated, tough to keep track of.   

I eventually moved the LFO onto another small circuit board and used a TL071 or 72 (forget which) to isolate it from the signal path to eliminate clicking.  Worked great, I suggest doing that right from the beginning.   Housed the whole shebang in a wah shell, and have a switch to use the treadle for the speed control, or to use a pot on the front instead.   It's a nice-sounding pedal for sure!

I built the Geofex layout, sounds fantastic, my favourite build ever.   The only issue I had with the layout was getting the transfer done.  I ended up editing the layout to thicken the traces and pads.

Geofex layout is very good.

I tried 3 or 4 times to make my own layout. Not easy, and I didn't get it verified yet.
But to put the lfo on another board is definitely a good plan.

Other issue to prevent ticking: put a 100 ohm resistor between the psu and the board.
Did it with mine, and ticking was gone.

The easy vibe is definitely a most have on you fx-board.
