Rat bass/gain/dc jack mods

Hey guys,

I have a mate who want me to mod his 80's Proco Rat for more bass, a dc jack and in his words "a bit more/better quality gain".

Anyone have any links?

change the Cap and resistor of one of the RCs in the feedback loop of the LM308

change the 1n4148 diodes to 2N7000 mosfet with a 1N60 Germanium asymetric cliping

besides:  Vintage VINTAGE old RAT used Tantalum coupling caps (this is a must for the REAL VINTAGE RAT)

Instead of modding the power jack on a vintage pedal, why not just use one of these:

I don't think the guy cares, he's into functionality more than keeping it vintage.  Thanks though!
