nurse quacky issue

Hi,

I've just made a nurse quacky on veroboard . i'm unhappy with it , the sound is really "harsh" on treble , even "distortioned" shooting my ears . It's really ugly on clean channel and become quickly boring on satured sound.

I tried to increase cap in filtre section (5n to 10n) but it doesn't work very well, the sweep is harder to obtain , it doesn't really move .

I remember my old DOD440 (even if it had also a distortioned sound with some settings) sounded better, smoother.

How solved that problem , the killing treble  ? What cause that, the transistor ?


Otherwise, the detector patch works really cool and the attack pot do it too.
